The best way to keep you safe is to keep the virus out of the office. Please be honest and responsible when considering whether to cancel your appointment
Now waiving cancellation fees so you can book your South Lake Tahoe massage risk free!
Rescheduling your appointment is now free, so if you have any symptoms or have come into contact with anyone experiencing symptoms, please do not hesitate to change your appointment. I appreciate your help in keeping our more vulnerable clients safe.
Frequent sanitizing will help keep you safe!
Limiting the spread of COVID-19 starts with reimagining how I care for my Tahoe massage office. While I have always taken great strides to disinfect all equipment and surfaces between sessions, I have expanded this practice to include walls, doors, and chairs. Additionally, a HEPA-rated air purifier will continuously run in the office to ensure clean air for every client. All laundry baskets and trash bins now have lids, are lined with plastic bags, and are disinfected regularly.
Additional layers of protection and a lot more laundry!
I have added impervious sheets and extra layers to the therapy table and all pillows to ensure a clean environment and allow for better sanitization. Of course, all sheets have always been changed between sessions, but additional layers have been added for further protection. I will be wearing a clean shirt/smock for each massage so that my clothes are also freshly laundered for each client.
Every South Lake Tahoe massage therapy office requires masks for clients and therapists.
By law, masks are required to be worn in public spaces anywhere in California. We recommend bringing your own mask, but cloth masks will be available outside my office door if needed. Of course, it can be difficult to breathe in a mask while face-down on the massage table, so I created a custom barrier inside your face cradle as a substitute for your mask while in this position. You will be asked to wear your mask while laying on your back.
Screening clients before entering the office means you are guaranteed the cleanest possible environment.
I will use a no-contact thermometer before your session to record your temperature for insurance purposes. I will monitor my temperature regularly, but if you would like a live reading before your session, just let me know. Additionally, clients will have to answer a short questionnaire prior to each session. Please see our sample questionnaire at the end of this post.
Quality bodywork starts with a calm therapist
I have extended the time between sessions to allow for extra cleaning and ensure that clients will not cross paths. During this time, I will open office doors and windows to promote fresh air circulation and limit airborne spread. I am confident that the additional measures I am taking will mitigate risk to you and our community and this extra time ensures that my focus will be on you when you come for your session.
Guidelines have been recommended to me by:
- CDC
- California Department of Public Health
- Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards
- California Massage Therapy Council
- Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals
Even with these steps, it is important to note that I cannot completely eliminate the risk of COVID-19. I appreciate you sharing the responsibility for keeping our community safe, healthy, and active.
As always, your protection, rehabilitation, and happiness are my priorities. If there are other amenities I can offer to make your session more luxurious and enjoyable, don’t hesitate to let me know.
Sincerely.
Julie
